PDC Poker - Review
PDC Poker accepts players from all over the world including the United States. However, if you live in Australia, you're out of luck.
Game Selection, Limits and Rakes
For a young site, PDC has a lot to offer you when it comes to game variety. Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven-Card Stud, Seven-Card Stud Hi/Lo, Razz, Five-Card Stud, Five-Card Draw, Ace-to-Five Lowball, Deuce-to-Seven Lowball and Badugi are all spread on the site. The site also offers mixed games such as H.O.R.S.E.
You can find stakes starting at the micro limits of 1¢/2¢ on up to $50/$100 for most of the games
PDC Poker takes a 5% rake from each real money hand with a maximum of $3 taken.
Tournaments
PDC Poker offers players the usual assortment of tournaments. Perhaps one of its best features is the many freerolls it offers for both depositing and free-money players. There's a monthly $50,000 freeroll and a $500 daily free tournament for new players.
The site also runs shootout and bounty format tournaments, and players can find live events satellites to events such as the World Series of Poker the Aussie Millions and the Asian Pacific Poker Tour.
Rewards
If you're playing at PDC Poker, you earn comp points for every raked hand you play in a ring game and for playing in certain tournaments. The points can be used for sign-up bonuses, reload bonuses and tournament entry coupons. PDC Poker also has a Comp Points Store with merchandise you can purchase with your points.
Traffic
PDC Poker is a relatively young poker site launched in 2008. Even during its peak hours it can be hard to find a game in the higher stakes. The majority of tables open range from micro games to $5/$10 at the Texas Hold'em tables.Traffic has improves since the site joined the Merge Network and it is seeing a steady improvement in traffic.
Software
PDC Poker runs on the Merge Gaming software. The software has all the basic features most players are looking for such as multi-table play, lobby stats, find a friend and hand history files, but what sets this site apart are its bonus features.
PDC Poker has a "rabbit hunt" feature that allows players to see what the hand would have been had it not been folded preflop. You also have the option to expose one card while playing, and the "run it twice" feature lets you play a hand twice when in a heads-up position.
Some other fun aspects to the software are the animated smilies you can use in the chat box and also the ability to tag players so you know when they've logged into the game to play.
Support
PDC Poker offers customer support with a 24 hour e-mail service via support@pdcpoker.com. If you make a deposit and are a real-money player, the site also offers live chat support. Players can also find help from other players in the PDC Poker forums.
